‘Mujigae’ typhoon weakened into tropical depression after making landfall in Leizhou Peninsula (China) yesterday, reported the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center.
The super typhoon was centered at 21, 9 degrees north latitude and 109, 6 degrees east longitude in the southern territorial water of Guangxi province of China with its strongest wind speed at level 13- 14 at 8pm yesterday.
By the morning today, the super storm was at 22, 9 degrees north latitude and 108, 1 degrees east longitude in the southern territorial water of Guangxi Zhuang province (China). The strongest wind gusted up to level 6-9.
Because of the influence of the storm, Gulf of Tonkin saw level 6- 8, gusted up to level 9-10, and sea rough.
In next 12- 24 hours, the tropical depression is predicted to change its direction towards the north- northwest with speed at 5 kilometers per hour.
By evening today, the depression will be positioned at 23, 9 degrees north latitude and 107, 8 degrees east longitude in Guangxi province of China.
The storm circulation will cause medium and heavy rains on the large scale and affect directly to the northern region.
