Marathon celebrates 44 years since city named after President Ho Chi Minh

A marathon took place at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday morning, part of a series of cultural and sports activities to mark the 44th anniversary of the day Saigon-Gia Dinh was officially named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 – 2020).

The event  gathered around 2000 runners from armed forces, militia and self-defense forces, young people and children from 24 districts in the city.
The runners start from Ho Chi Minh City Opera House through streets of Dong Khoi, Ngo Duc Ke, Nguyen Hue, Le Thanh Ton. There are some photos featuring the marathon:
