The Lifelong Learning Week 2015 themed “Learning for developing hometowns, the country and contributing to the world” in Ho Chi Minh City will be opened on September 27 as per the HCMC People’s Committee’s plan.
After the opening ceremony held by the city’s People Committee, the Lifelong Learning Week will be launched in districts and communes, continuous learning establishments, community learning facilities, vocational training centers, intermediate and technical school.
In the week, there will be workshops to multiply the models “learning families”, “learning family branch”, “learning community”, and “learning organizations” and conceive measures to improve activities of learning unions in residential blocks and effectiveness of community learning centers and encourage laborers to pursue a course of vocational training.
Additionally, district and commune leaders also organize fresher courses to increase skills and knowledge for government workers and all residents.
