The festival introduced literary works and items of well-known poets and served as a venue for artists to gather to participate in poetry and literature activities. It honored the patriotic spirit and creativity of the predecessors in the fields of literature and art and promoted local tourism.
On this occasion, the province organized a wide range of activities marking the anniversary, such as a lantern release event, a photo exhibition of Ha Tien in the past and present, economic and social achievements of the locality, a book street, and others.
On the same day, a delegation of leaders and officials of the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang Province, led by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai, offered incense and flowers to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at Ha Tien City Martyrs Cemetery and Mac Cuu at his temple.
