A ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the return of imprisoned revolutionaries from Phu Quoc Island was held at Phu Quoc Prison, a national special national relic in Phu Quoc City, the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang on March 26.
Kien Giang Province extracted around VND50 billion (US$2 million) from the local budget serving renovation and upgrade of the special national historical site of Phu Quoc Prison for the period 2021-2025.

Depression has already occurred in many places in the coastal provinces of Ca Mau and Kien Giang in the Mekong Delta during the severe drought season this year, it is forecast that depression and landslide will continue spreading in the upcoming rainy season.
