Sponsored by the Consulate General of India to Ho Chi Minh City, Indian Women Association in the city (IWA) was officially launched yesterday to further India-Vietnam cultural relationships and friendship.
The launch of IWA will also provide a robust platform to the dynamic women of the Indian community who are living and working in HCMC to showcase their talent and exchange constructive ideas with Vietnamese women.
India Ambassador to Vietnam Shrimati Preeti Saran expressed happiness to see many Indian women have contributed to the development of HCMC and believed that they are a link to intensify the Vietnam-India friendship.
Attending the event was Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Hoa, deputy chairwoman of the Vietnam Women Union in HCMC, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Diem, deputy chairwoman of the HCMC Union of Friendship Associations, and Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung, chairwoman of HCMC Businesswomen Club.
