The Department of Transport in Ho Chi Minh City said that there is an increase in the number of vehicles.
In 2014, around 287,394 new vehicles including 29,134 cars and 258,250 motorbikes have registered at authorized agencies. Accordingly HCMC authority is managing 6,849,285 including 578,138 cars and 6,271,147 motorbikes, increasing by 6.48 percent compared to the same period last year.
Around 475 million people have used buses for transporting. The Department of transport has fined violation in bus operation such as lane encroachment and illegal parking. Around 78.2 tons of commodities have been transported through sea ports, posting an increase of 15.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
HCMC also dredged Soai Rap River to enable to receive 50,000-55,000 DWT ships.
