Mien Dong (Eastern) Bus Station is expected to see about 26,000 passengers on September 1 alone, rebounding 23 percent over normal days, the station director Nguyen Ngoc Thua has said.

An extra of seven percent of buses will be mobilized to serve travelers during the vacation.

The bus fares to tourist destinations like Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Vung Tau and Da Lat will be mounted by 30 percent, the same increase as last year, Mr.Thua said.

Meanwhile, the number of passengers passing Mien Tay (Western) Bus Station to Mekong Delta provinces is forecast to reach 20,000 to 22,000 everyday of the vacation.

More buses will run to meet high travel demand on routes to the Mekong Delta. To better serve passengers, the bus station will sell the tickets from 3:30am to 10pm each day between September 1 and 2.

HCMC Transport Management and Operation Center has regulated 2,0000 bus trips a day on 20 routes, including those to entertainment spots like Dam Sen, Suoi Tien and Dai Nam.

Saigon Railway Station has decided to increase two more trains, SN4 and SN6, on Saigon-Nha Trang route, said the station deputy head Nguyen Van Thanh.

The train tickets on the route are still abundant, the station head Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong revealed.

In the meantime, the country’s leading air operator, Vietnam Airlines, announced 20 additional flights will operate on domestic routes from September 1-5.

Of them, six flights will be on Hanoi – Nha Trang, four on HCMC – Nha Trang and ten on HCMC – Phu Quoc. Aircrafts used will be Airbus 320 and 321 and AT7.
