Hoi An’s full moon festival has been listed among the “20 unforgettable things to do at night on your travels” by the UK’s Rough Guides magazine, according to the director of the Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports, Vo Phung.
It has been is ranked 15th.
“Every month on the fourteenth day of the lunar calendar, the town switches off its street lights as glowing silk lanterns, performers, and food stalls fill the cobbled streets and the Thu Bon River is lit up with beautiful floats,” the travel guidebook said.
