The high tide continued to rise on Monday, flooding several residential areas like Binh Thanh and Thu Duc districts of Ho Chi Minh City.
Houses in some alleys in Binh Quoi Street and Ngo Tat To Street of Binh Thanh found their furniture submerged by the floodwaters from early morning. The Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street and the section near the Mien Dong Bus Station were also flooded.
Other roads like the Hanoi Highway in District 2 and 25 Street in Thu Duc District also faced the same situation.
According to the Southern Regional Hydro Metrological Center, the high tide waters are expected to recede within the next few days.
