The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism would coercively remove unlicensed advertising boards in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City in December.
Accordingly, the department’s inspectors will unbind ten unlicensed boards of companies in wards like Tan Dinh, Nguyen Thai Binh, Pham Ngu Lao, and Cau Ong Lanh.
In an inspection in September, the department uncovered 21 unlicensed boards with 11 of them having been removed by the companies themselves.
Officials have asked the remaining businesses including Au Lac, Xi Ma, Chieu Duong, Thai Binh Duong and Mat Troi Phuong Dong to discharge their boards but they have yet done that.
The department deputy director Nguyen Hung said that the inspectors would continue inspecting and adjusting the adverting boards in Hang Xanh roundabout area in January next year.
