This morning, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to honor and award VND150 million (US$6,397) to the winner of the Gold Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad 2022.
Competitors from Ho Chi Minh City bagged seven gold medal, three silver medals, seven bronze medals and nine encouragement prizes from the national vocational skill competition 2020, said Director of the city Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Minh Tan.
Vietnamese students won four gold medals at the 52nd International Chemistry Olympiad which was held in Istanbul, Turkey on July 23-29, ranking 2nd among participating nations and territories, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.
Vietnamese students brought home two gold medals and one silver plus one Special Award granted by Korea University Invention Association in the International Young Inventors Awards (IYIA) 2019 held in Indonesia on October 9-12.
The Vietnamese team have brought home 7 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals along with 16 certificates of excellence from the 12th ASEAN Skills Competition which took place in Nonthaburi, Thailand from August 26 to September 5.
