A year ago, Nguyen Kha Nhi, a member of the Ho Chi Minh City sports delegation and the Vietnam swimming team, was part of the mixed 4x1,500m relay squad that won gold at the 2025 Southeast Asian Open Water Swimming Championships.

She was the only member of last year’s gold-medal team to return this year and successfully defended the title with her teammates.

A day earlier, Kha Nhi and Ngoc Vinh had also won individual gold medals in their respective age-group 10km events.
