At the meeting, the city Party Chief pleasured at great and comprehensive relations of strategic partnership between Vietnam and Germany in general and cooperation ties between Ho Chi Minh City and Hessen State in the fields of economy, trade and education in particular.
Currently, HCMC has a total of 151 German projects with an investment capital of nearly US$ 286 million, ranking the 13th among 106 countries and territories investing in the city.
Secretary Nhan believed that Ho Chi Minh City and Hessen State would have great cooperation potentials in the fields of finance, high technology, infrastructure development, urban management, healthcare and education.
He also hoped that Hessen State would continue to promote cooperation, support vocational education and training for the city’s human resource development, including training healthcare staffs for the elderly.
HCMC wants to continue strengthening the relations between the two localities, added Mr. Nhan.
President Boris Rhein impressed the strong development of Ho Chi Minh City as well as praised active contributions of the city Party Chief into the friendship over the past time.
Mr. Boris Rhein strongly affirmed that Hessen State would like to cooperate with HCMC in the fields of high technology, infrastructure construction, education and training etc; and to establish the Hessen – HCMC strategic relationship in vocational training which is considered as a symbol of Germany and Vietnam cooperation and training ties.
