A concert recital by French pianist Nicolas Stavy will be held at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on May 25.

The concert titled ‘Liszt-music inspiration sources’ will commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of the talented music composer Franz Liszt. Works included will be “Consolations, S. 172,” “God’s blessing in Solitude,” “Petrarch's Sonnet 104,” “After a reading by Dante,” and “From the Cradle to the Grave.”
The pianist was trained at the National Academy of Paris where he won his first award for Chamber Music. He further improved his art at the Geneva Academy.
He won several music awards such as Special price at the Chopin Competition in Varsovie in 2000, Second Price at the International Competition in Geneva in 2001, Second Price at the Young Concert Artists in New York in 2003.
He has performed in France, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Geneva, New York and last April in Hanoi.
Tickets for the show will be available at the HCMC Opera House, 7 Lam Son Square, priced between VND100,000-VND200,000.
