A free summer concert aimed at fostering people’s love for classical music will take place at VNSO Concert Hall on May 31 in Hanoi.

The concert will be performed by Hoa Sen VN String Quartet, Hanoi Brass Band and Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuj.
Established in 2006, the Hoa Sen String Quartet includes violinists Le Hoang Lan and Dao Mai Anh, cellist Tran Thi Mo and viola player Nguyen Thi Thu Nga.
The group is well-known for classical and romantic masterpieces, and contemporary works. They have held many performances in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Founded in 1998, the Hanoi Brass Band includes six professional musicians from Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, hornist Kim Xuan Hieu as the band leader, trombonist Tran Hien (Trombone), Tuba player Le Minh Chieu (Tuba), trumpeters Nguyen Thanh Hai and Pham Van Hieu (Trumpet) and drummer Nghiem Manh Tuan.
