PARIS, May 8, 2011 (AFP) - Who's winning what in Europe's top leagues? AFP Sports looks at which clubs are heading for the silverware:

ENGLAND

Manchester United defeated Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford to leave themselves on the brink of a record 19th league title. First-half goals from Javier Hernandez and Nemanja Vidic clinched a deserved victory which means Sir Alex Ferguson's side need just one point from their remaining games against Blackburn and Blackpool to clinch the title. Arsenal were eliminated from the title race after slumping to a 3-1 defeat at Stoke.

SPAIN

Barcelona moved to within a point of a third successive league title with a 2-0 win over Espanyol in the Catalan derby. Goals from Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique took Barcelona to 91 points, eight ahead of Real Madrid, who stayed alive in the title race with a 6-2 win over Sevilla on Saturday. Barcelona, who have a superior head-to-head record over Real, will be crowned champions if they avoid defeat against Levante on Wednesday. A Real failure to see off Getafe on Tuesday will also be enough for the championship celebrations to start.

ITALY

AC Milan claimed an 18th Serie A title following a 0-0 draw at Roma that gave them an unassailable lead at the top of the table with two games to go. Udinese moved back into fourth and the final Champions League qualification place with a 2-1 victory over Lazio. Inter Milan secured their passage directly into next season's Champions League with a 3-1 victory over Fiorentina. Brescia joined already relegated Bari in Serie B next season after their 2-1 defeat at home to Catania.

GERMANY

Borussia Dortmund were crowned champions last week, their first title since 2002. On Saturday, Bayern Munich secured Champions League qualification after an 8-1 rout of St Pauli which also relegated their Hamburg-based hosts. Bayern closed the gap on second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, who drew 1-1 at Hamburg. Dortmund suffered a 2-0 defeat at Werder Bremen, who are now assured of Bundesliga football next season.

FRANCE

Lyon served notice they are still in the chase for the French title with a 3-2 win over champions Marseille. Leaders Lille moved four points clear of second-placed Marseille after winning at third-bottom Nancy on Saturday, with Lyon staying in touch in third place seven points behind the leaders with four games to play.

NETHERLANDS

Defending champions Twente are a point ahead of Ajax with two games left. The two sides meet next weekend in a potential title decider. Twente gained a psychological edge over their Amsterdam rivals with a 3-2 extra-time win in the Dutch Cup final on Sunday.

PORTUGAL

FC Porto wrapped up their 25th league title in March when they defeated bitter rivals Benfica 2-1. They now have 81 points, 19 ahead of Benfica, having won 26 of their 29 matches in a season where they have yet to lose. Strike duo Hulk and Falcao have 39 goals between them and Porto have also qualified for the Europa League final.
