A concert featuring well-known French pianist Célimène Daudet will take place at Hanoi Opera House on June 3-4 and at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on June 9.
The French pianist, Célimène Daudet, was born in the south of France to a Haitian mother and a French father. She began her music studies in piano at the Conservatory of Aix-en-Provence. Then, she studied under Olivier Gardon and Denis Pascal. In 1999, after winning two awards in piano at the CNR (Conservatoire National de Région) in Paris and Rueil-Malmaison, she was laureate in the Jean Françaix International piano Competition in Paris. That same year, she was admitted to the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon (CNSMD).
The pianist has win many prestigious international awards as: Jean Francaix in Paris, the FNAPEC “Ensemble Music”, Val d’Isère, the Pro Musicis international prize and the Spedidam prize. S
She has performed at the most prestigious concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, the Châtelet Theatre. Celimene Daudet is the most expected pianist in concerts in France, Europe and North America.
In 2013, after the success of the first solo album “A tribute to Bach”, Celimene Daudet released the “Art of Fugue” that have been appraised by the French and foreign press and received numerous awards.
Célimène, as an achieved and open-minded musician, also initiated the creation of shows combining piano with other art forms. She created a first show entitled “Reflets Chorégraphiques” featuring a piano player and a contemporary dancer.
She has also participated in choreographer Yuval Pick's piano version of Stravinsky's ballet “The Rite of Spring”.
Célimène is also now teaching at the conservatory, Camille Saint – Saëns .
