‘European Cultural Days 2013’ begins

The event ‘European Cultural Days’ will take place in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City with interesting cultural activities from May 9 till the end of the month.

The one-month cultural program jointly organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, Embassies of the European Union Member States, and the European Cultural Centres in Vietnam will include various entertainment events.

The colorful and multifaceted exhibition themed ‘Comics, Manga & Co.-The New German Comics Culture’ is being held from May 8 to June 2.

55 different comics present two generations of artists, which have been influencing by German comic culture in many different ways.

13 artists were selected for this exhibition, whose versatile works present all important German tendencies.

‘Comic Talk’ with Line Hoven and Vietnamese cartoonists will be on May 14 at 6.30pm. Workshop under the direction of Line Hoven with Vietnamese artists will be on May 15 at 9.00am.

The 3rd European Literature Days presenting books from Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Wallonia (Belgium) and Poland, which have recently been published in Vietnamese translation, will take place at the Goethe-Institute and at L'Espace in Hanoi on May 17-18.

Gastronomers will have a chance to enjoy delicious food, drinks at the European Food Festival at National Library in Hanoi on May 18.

The event is a great opportunity to discover and experience the diversity of European legendary tastes and flavors by most popular restaurants, 5-star hotels and hospitality providers.

‘European Cultural Days’ also includes many exciting cultural events such as the European Film Festival 2013, concerts, EU-VN information trade seminar, photo competition on climate change, and EU-Vietnam friendly children football matches and much more.
