The two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Brazil reached US$749.2 million in the first quarter this year, an increase of 77.7 percent over the same period last year.
Vietnam’s export turnover to Brazil reached US$328.5 million, an increase of 58.6 percent. Import turnover hit US$420.5 million, an increase of 96.2 percent over the same period last year.
Corn imports from Brazil doubled reaching US$265 million.
The two-way trade turnover goal for 2014 is US $3 billion. The goal is to have US $12 billion by 2020.
