The World Weightlifting Federation granted a certificate for disabled Vietnamese weightlifter Le Van Cong in Malaysia as recognizing the world and Asian records.

The disabled athlete broke the world record to own the gold medal in the men's 49 kilogram division with a victory of 182 kilogram lift at the 2015 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Powerlifting Asian Open Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan in July, 2015.
Another athlete Nguyen Binh An also received the Asian record as he achieved 183 kilogram in Kazakhstan last year.
Two weightlifters will participate in Paralympic Games 2016 in Brazil.
Le Van Cong continued to compete successfully to win the gold medal with his victory of 180 kilogram at World Cup 2016 in Malaysia.
Companions of Van Cong also get good achievements in the sport event such as Binh An won gold medal in the men’s 50 kilogram, Dang Thi Linh Phuong won silver medal in the women’s 50 kilogram and Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan with silver medal in the women’s 55 kilogram division.
