As planned, the city will develop comprehensive and sustainable high-tech agriculture and improve its investment environment in the 2016-2020 period.

The local authorities have set a target of high-tech applied agricultural zone of 65-70 percent, equivalent to 7,000 hectares. The agricultural sector’s production value is expected to reach 4,346 billion VND (193 million USD), of which vegetable and flower exports account for 20 percent.

In addition, Da Lat will promote sustainable farming model in combination with tourism development.

The city has achieved a yearly average economic growth rate of 13-14 percent with the tourism sector accounting for 72 percent of Da Lat’s annual revenue.

The application of high technology in agriculture, especially in planting vegetables and flowers, has been increasing in Da Lat over the past several years. The city has ever exported vast amounts of flora both domestically and abroad.

The city’s traditional flower village is a hub for growers to exchange products, information, and an attractive destination for visitors.
