The General Statistics Office has reported that the country's Consumer Price Index (CPI) continued falling 0.2 percent in January compared to last December.
Most goods and service except beverage and cigarettes saw the price decrease. The most reduction was recorded in traffic group with minus 3.96 percent because of the world’s tumbling oil prices.
Among the groups with price-hike were food and catering service which rose 0.28 percent, and medical services which edged up 0.28 percent.
Compared to the same period last year Vietnam CPI increased only 0.06 percent.
The index posted a ten-year-low increase in December.
