All cars and trucks wanting to move through the city center from 1A Highway will instead be detoured across either the Saigon Bridge or District 12’s Ga Crossroad.

In related news, Nguyen Thanh Thai, general director of Phu My Bridge Corporation (PMC), said that if contract negotiations finish soon, by the end of June, the Saigon 2 Bridge Project will break the ground in September with a total capital expected to exceed VND2.4 trillion (US$126 million).

The Saigon Bridge 2 will ease the gridlock for commuters traveling along the original Saigon Bridge and the Hanoi Highway.
