Concert to celebrate Uncle Ho's birth anniversary

A concert on the French and American resistance wars will be held at the Hanoi Opera House on May 19-20 to celebrate late President Ho Chi Minh’s 121st birth anniversary, May 19.

Veteran singers including People’s Artists Quang Tho and Thu Hien, Meritorious Artist Thai Bao together with young singers such as Dang Duong, Viet Hoan, Tan Nhan, Thanh Lam, Duc Tuan and Quang Dung will join the event.

The concert will present to music lovers’ famous romantic songs regarded as stories of the two resistance wars.

The white of Ban flower (Bauhinia variegate, mainly located in Northern provinces) and the red of Flamboyant will be used prominently in the concert, representing the French and American wars.

Viewers also have a chance to enjoy images of young people leaving schools for national salvation, volunteers, militia, guerillas, soldiers and liberation troops as well as the natural landscape of the country.
