Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat Airport Customs Office said it was cooperating with police in probing a parcel containing a pistol and 198 bullets sent to the city from the US via an express service.
The parcel was sent by air via the airport and to an enterprise in Tan Binh District.
According to the Customs Office, the customs form for the parcel wrote that the parcel contained kitchenware. Customs officers opened it, only to see a colt of the model Cal-209K, 198 bullets, flags of the South Vietnam regime before 1975 and two tear gas sprays.
The Customs Office has transferred all the things to police for investigations.
