Cold spell hits north, central Vietnam

A cold spell is moving further the southern part of north Vietnam today and the National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting forecast this cold spell will also spread out the East northern and north central provinces on December 23.

As per weather forecast, the northern and north central region will experience cold weather on December 23. The temperature will drop at 15 to 18 degrees Celsius and 10 to 12 degrees Celsius in the mountainous northern region.

Due to the impact of cold air, the northern provinces will experience prolonged rains while the central provinces will suffer thunderstorms, heavy rains and even strong winds, whirlwinds.

In Hanoi, the temperature will swing at 16 to 18 degrees Celsius on December 23; rains will also appear in the afternoon or early morning.
