The Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority has just submitted a report on allocating landing and/or takeoff slots and providing flight permission to Emirates Airline to the Ministry of Transport after Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed that the allocation of airport slots must be immediately implemented.
According to the report, on December 27, 2024, the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority received a request from Emirates Airline to confirm the 2025 summer schedule with the landing and takeoff times at Da Nang International Airport set for 9:50 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. (local time) to operate the Dubai-Bangkok-Da Nang route.
After receiving the airline's request, based on coordination parameters for slot allocation, the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority found that the capacity in the time frame of 11:00 p.m. (local time) reached its limit.
The Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority proposed the expected takeoff time for the flight to be 10:15 p.m. (local time).
On January 7, 2025, Emirates Airlines agreed to the takeoff time for the flight as proposed by the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority. At the same time, the airline requested to add its proposed landing and takeoff times to the waiting list.
