The Art Kite Festival opened at The Grand Ho Tram Strip resort in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province’s Xuyen Moc District on January 1.

The event attracted 10 kite clubs with more than 100 artisans from citiesand provinces throughout the country.
The festival features around 150 beautiful kites attracting a large number of visitors.
Various cultural activities including kite performances and Rokkaku fighting competition will be organized during the event. Rokkaku battles are a 400 year old competition that originated in Japan.
In this event, a dozen kites are launched at the same time and the kite or the kite line is used to cut opponents lines or force them to the ground. It’s fun, challenging and a great spectator sport.
The event co-organized by the provincial Department of Cuture, Sport and Tourism and The Grand Ho Tram Strip resort will run until January 2.
