Of these, 568 young people from Thu Duc City departed for military service this morning, including 431 enlisting in the military and 137 joining the police force.
Attending the send-off ceremony in Thu Duc City were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi and Secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee Nguyen Huu Hiep.

During the solemn ceremony, Commanding Officer of the Thu Duc City Military Command Colonel Tran Van Quyet reported 568 recruits from Thu Duc City would join the military service this year.
Speaking at the conscription ceremony, Chairman of the Thu Duc City People’s Committee Hoang Tung congratulated the new recruits and praised their volunteer spirit and awareness of their responsibility for the country.
The Chairman of Thu Duc City People’s Committee believed that the recruits would uphold the traditions of Thu Duc City, strive to overcome challenges and adapt quickly to their new environment to excellently fulfill their duties.

Among 568 young men who enlisted in the military this year, Thu Duc City recruited and handed over 431 young men to military units and 137 to public security units. They will be primarily stationed at the Ninth Infantry Division under the Military Region 4, Air Defense Division 370 and Air Defense Division 375 under the Air Force and Air Defense, the 47th Reconnaissance Battalion under the Military Region 7, Gia Dinh Regiment under Ho Chi Minh City High Command and the Ho Chi Minh City Police.

After the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi along with Thu Duc City leaders, presented gifts and extended encouragement to the new recruits.
