A series of activities calling for people to support the Earth hour 2011 will be held from March 12 to 26, such as the Green street campaign, Green Tour and Green Café program around universities in the city.

Volunteers will also ride bicycles to every household to ask people to turn off their lights for one hour on March 26.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has announced that the Earth Hour 2011 will take place at 8.30 pm on Saturday, March 26. Many cities all over the world will turn off their lights in response to the program.

The program organizers have also released the message: “Apart from turning off lights during Earth Hour, what can you do to make changes for the earth - our home?”

Van Mai Huong, the runner up of Vietnam Idol 2010, singer Nguyen Phi Hung and model Truc Diem have been selected as Vietnamese ambassadors for various activities during the event.
