VANCOUVER, Feb 22, 2010 (AFP) - Who's saying what at the Vancouver Olympics:
ALPINE SKIING
"I don't know, I feel pretty old. Having already quit once I came back for a reason - and this was the reason."
- Bode Miller after striking gold in the men's super combined.
FIGURE SKATING

- Russian ice dancer Jana Khokhlova on whether she and partner Sergei Novitski have any pre-competition rituals
"It's horrible. It's very bad news for (Joannie). There is nothing more important than losing your mum. It makes you realise how important family is. Joannie is a very courageous person."
- Figure skater Cynthia Phaneuf on the death of Joannie Rochette's mother.
"Competing at the Olympic Games has always been her dream, and her mum has always supported that dream. Her mum is very close to her, and a big part of her skating life. It would mean a lot to her mum and to herself."
- William Thompson, Skate Canada CEO on Joannie Rochette's appearance at training on Sunday just hours after her mother's death.
SPEED SKATING
"It seems that I can't race better than 1 minute, 58 seconds on the track under 2000 metres altitude."
- Anna Friesinger-Postma of Germany who finished ninth in the 1500m final.
"The 1500m, you kind of go all out, you can taste blood in your lungs sometimes. That's how I would describe it."
- Kristina Groves of Canada in the 1500m.
ICE HOCKEY
"It was probably one of the biggest games I've ever played in."
- USA goalie Ryan Miller after the win over Canada.
"We still had a one-goal lead. You've got Ryan Miller in net. I'll take a one-goal lead with this group and Ryan Miller in net any day."
- US defender Jack Johnson on how the US team maintained composure at the end of the game.
