VN becomes third largest foreign community in RoK

Approximately 134, 164 Vietnamese people are living in the Republic of Korea & become the third largest foreign community in the country after China and the United States by January of this year, reported the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Justice.

Currently, 1, 88 million foreigners are living in RoK, an increase nearly six percent compared to the same period last year, including Chinese hold 52, 2 percent with 981, 610 people; the 136, 000 American people  accounted for 7, 2 percent.

Thailand and the Philippines are respectively the fourth and fifth largest foreign communities in RoK after Vietnam.

According to the report, the country received 95,134 overseas students. Meanwhile, 151, 564 foreigners got married to Korean people that increased 0,5 percent compared to same period last year.
