The 27 member women’s football team from Vietnam led by coach Phan Anh Tu arrived in Myanmar on afternoon of December 5.

As the women’s football matches will not take place at the same venue as the men’s football matches, the women football players did not board the same flight as the first Vietnamese sports delegation that arrived in Nay Pyi Taw a day earlier.

The Vietnamese women’s football team left Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi for Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City at 7am then headed for Yangon in Myanmar on a commercial flight at 11.40am. After landing in Yangon, the team again took a flight to Mandalay at 3.30pm.

Despite long flying hours, the players were still excite and eager and confident in defending their title at the 27th SEA Games. The team will be staying at the Great Wall Hotel during the event.
