The Vietnamese Film Week will take place in Hawaii, Washington DC and New York in the US from July 4-18.
The event, which is held by the UNESCO’s Bureau for External Cultural Relations; the Embassy of Vietnam in Washington DC, United States; the Vietnamese delegation to the United Nations (UN); the US’ partners and insiders of Vietnamese cinema industry, aims to mark the 20th anniversary of the normalization of relations between the United States and Vietnam.
The film Hiep Si Mu (Blind Knight), Khat Vong Thang Long (Thang Long Aspiration), Nhung Dua Con Cua Lang (The Children of the Village), Bi mat tham do (Scandal ), Hao quang tro lai (Scandal 2), and Trung so (Lottery win) will be screened in the event.
The film week also include a series of cultural activities, such as a screening of 6 films promoting Vietnamese tourism at Doris Duke Theater at the Honolulu Museum of Art in Hawaii; a festival featuring Ao dai festival, concert, tourism and Vietnamese cuisine on the beach in Hawaii; and the introduction of the biennial Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) which is organized by the Cinema Department of Vietnam under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
