A group of Vietnamese painters will travel to Hong Kong (China) for an exhibition titled ‘Vietnam Now’ to be held from August 24 to September 9.

The exhibition will present to viewers the many changes and transitions from the past to present and looking into the future, through art works that include oils on canvas, paintings on silk, bronze sculptures, 3D photography, contemporary calligraphy and performances.
Ha Tri Hieu, a member of the Gang of Five, is popular for his works on canvas.
Nguyen Thi Chau Giang’s silk paintings focus on issues that Vietnamese women face today.
Nguyen Thi Chinh Le’s soulful works of bronze sculptures depict daily life, the trials and tribulations of being alive in today’s complicated world.
Nguyen The Son presents his innovative 3D photographs which examine the impact of rapid development on the Vietnamese’s material and spiritual life. While Le Quoc Viet and Nguyen Quang Thang, will exhibit their contemporary calligraphic works.
The exhibition will begin with a documentary portraying the lives of the artists – how they live, how they work, and the issues they address. The film is produced by Art Vietnam Gallery in association with documentary filmmaker Bill Perna of Perna Content.
