The film, starring Johnny Tri Nguyen and actress Ngo Thanh Van, has been screen nationwide during the ongoing Tet festival season. To date, the film has grossed VND20 billion (US$1 million) at the box office.The Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff as a response to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the consequent loss of vitality in the TriBeCa neighborhood in Manhattan.The mission of the film festival is "to enable the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film by redefining the film festival experience."The Tribeca Film Festival has since become a most prominent international film festival. The festival's program line-up offers moviegoers a wide variety of independent films including documentaries, narrative features and shorts, as well as a program of family-friendly films.
The film fest invites entries from several countries around the world.
