The Vietnam Sea Village Festival 2011 takes place in Phan Rang-Thap Cham City in the central coastal province of Ninh Thuan from August 2-4.

The event attracts more than 1,000 folk artists, actors and actresses from central coastal provinces including Da Nang City, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City and the host province Ninh Thuan.
The Vietnam Sea Village Festival with the theme ‘Ninh Thuan – A Destination for Vietnamese Sea Culture’ includes a wide range of activities such as sports and arts exchanges and exhibitions to highlight traditional cultural characteristics of villages lying along the coast of Vietnam.
One of the highlights of the festival is an exhibition featuring more than 500 antiques related to Vietnam Sea and sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.
The festival is part of the National Tourism Year 2011, which takes place in the southern central coastal provinces of Phu Yen, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Da Nang city.
With the theme ‘Paradise for Sea and Island Tourism’, the National Tourism Year 2011 is a chance for the region to promote its tourism potential.
