The Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House, in collaboration with the Central Commission for Information and Education, hosted a book launch on August 5 in Hanoi to introduce a Spanish-language selected works collection of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, marking the centenary of his birth (August 13, 1926 – August 13, 2026).

Spanning nearly 15,000 pages, the multi-volume collection compiles key speeches, writings, interviews, messages, and official documents by President Fidel Castro Ruz. The material is arranged chronologically, mirroring the pivotal stages of the Cuban Revolution and the leader's revolutionary legacy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House, stated that under the guidance of the Central Commission for Information and Education and in close cooperation with the Fidel Castro Ruz Center and the Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam, the publisher executed the project under rigorous standards for editorial quality, design, and timeline. Each piece was meticulously reviewed and cross-referenced to ensure factual precision, stylistic consistency, and the preservation of its historical and political significance.

Alongside editorial work, the publisher coordinated efforts to finalize the artistic design, layout, typesetting, and technical specifications of the collection. This process ensured full compliance with Vietnam’s Publishing Law while satisfying Cuba’s strict practices, standards, and regulations regarding publications on Leader Fidel Castro. This meticulous attention to detail at every stage contributed significantly to the collection’s overall quality.

Publishing house leadership confirmed that the production of all 3,000 sets has been completed, comprising 1,000 hardcover and 2,000 paperback editions. One hundred hardcover sets have already been airlifted to Cuba in time for official events commemorating the leader's birth centenary, with the remaining volumes to be delivered by sea.

Building on the Spanish-language edition, the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House will continue working closely with the Fidel Castro Ruz Center to edit and publish English and Vietnamese versions. The initiative aims to provide broader access for the Vietnamese public and international readers to the profound ideological legacy of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro.
