On Tuesday afternoon, the floodwater level began to rise rapidly, causing flood- induced isolation in low-lying areas.

In particular, floodwater isolated communes and traffic in Minh Hoa District, Quang Binh province, leaving a person missing.

Meanwhile, a day long downpour inundated Vinh city of Nghe An province, causing schools close today.

There were seven communes of Huong Hoa District in Quang Tri isolated by floodwater. Amid the situation, the recue forces evacuated nearly 100 households and more than 200 people to safer places. 

A Luoi Hydropower Reservoir and Ho Ho Hydropower Plant had to release water yesterday afternoon.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Huong Khe District, Ha Tinh province, 18 isolated communes and towns have been isolated by flooding.

Nearly 1,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice and flower crops have been threatened by the heavy rainfalls.
