The tourist boat QN 4894 caught fire during its trial route on Ha Long Bay on February 18.

The incident occurred at around 10.30 a.m. with injuries reported. The crew of eight people was rescued by another boat.
The boat was completely destroyed in the incident with an estimated loss of over VND 1 billion. A gas leak is believed to be the reason for the fire.
The cruise ship was operated by Bai Tu Long Hung Nguyen Company and was not granted an operating license prior to departure.
