Stocks recover, surpassing 565 points

The Vietnam’s stock market regained in the trading session on September 8 thanks to banking shares and blue-chip stocks.


The Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index emerged 11.79 points, or 2.12 percent, to close at 566.72 points. Among the index members, there were 168 winners, 46 losers while 96 stocks remained unchanged. Trading volume exceeded 107 million shares, worth more than VND1.74 trillion.


The VN30-Index rose 9.26 points, or 1.61 percent, to 583.35 points with trading volume totaling more than 48 million shares worth VND998 billion.


The HNX-Index of the smaller bourse in the north jumped 1.27 points, or 1.67 percent, to close at 77.26 points with 130 shares climbing, 63 falling and 175 moving flat. Trading volume on the northern trading floor nearly reached 37.3 million shares, worth VND389 billion.


The HNX30-Index gained 2.53 points, or 1.79 percent, to 164.2 points. Trading volume was at about 19.7 million shares, worth VND212.3 billion.
