Spring Newspaper Festival wraps up in Hanoi

The four-day national Spring Newspaper Festival 2010 in Hanoi closed on February 7. Over 600 press agencies across the country took part in the festival.

The four-day national Spring Newspaper Festival 2010 in Hanoi closed on February 7. Over 600 press agencies across the country took part in the festival.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Hanoi Party chief Pham Quang Nghi said the festival was a significant activity that coincided with the 80th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, February 3, and opened up a series of events in celebration of 1,000 year-old Thang Long-Hanoi.

He added that with such a large number of participating press agencies, the festival brought in a special spiritual “food” for people on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year.

The organizing committee presented prizes to the most beautiful booths and press agencies that had published Spring publications with outstanding covers.
