This is the second time that the theater has been invited by the Kijimuna Festa organizers, the first being in 2009. The organizers had earlier made a survey of traditional Southeast Asian arts in November 2007, visited HCMC and were attracted by the Water Puppet Theater.

A 10-member troupe from the Rong Vang Water Puppet Theater will present 16 Vietnamese traditional puppet shows to international audiences.

Kijimuna Festa (International Theater Festival OKINAWA for Young Audience) is an annual international performing arts festival for children and young people, which takes place in Okinawa City in Japan.

This year’s event aims to attract 30 countries and territories with 130 performances.
