60 volunteers in the Red Vacation of the Electricity and Saigon Tourism companies arrived in Phu Quy Island in the central province of Binh Thuan to join charity activities.
They checked and repaired electricity grid system and replaced electricity wires gratis for households in the island. The group also presented gifts to 40 poor households, 100 medical boxes and 10 water tanks to fishermen,. In addition, they gave 1 tons of rice to army stations and residents; 10 series of textbooks, 1,000 student books, and two swings to Tam Thanh preschool. Total gifts are worth VND250 million (US$ 11,462)
