A barge Sunday suddenly hit the Binh Loi railway bridge while running on Sai Gon River , paralyzing the North-South Railway for several hours in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday.

The barge was travelling on the river towards Binh Duong Province at that time when it crashed into the bridge, blocking trains to travel through for several hours.
As of 4pm the same day, the railway workers had temporarily repaired the bridge so that the trains could slowly move through at below 10 kilometers an hour.
The damage would be soon recovered so that the trains could move at normal speed, said railway officials.
