Stones from the quarry, located deep in the mountain, seem sedimentary in formation and mostly concentrated in the Thung Chet area of the region.

After observing the breaking technique of the stone in the quarry and comparing it with that of the Citadel, researchers have determined this quarry as the true location of the building stone used in the Ho Dynasty Citadel construction.

The Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has already filed a request to the concerned Ministry to turn the quarry into an excavation site for further research and list it as a national, cultural and historical monument, which will eventually serve as a documentary proof of the construction of the   world cultural heritage Citadel of the Ho Dynasty.
