Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee on Wednesday instructed relevant departments to organize firework displays at six separate prime locations in the city, midnight of January 22 to ring in Tet Lunar New Year.
The District 2 entrance side of the Thu Thiem Tunnel and Go Vap Cultural Park are among the prime locations selected for letting off spectacular fireworks to welcome the New Year.
The other four locations include Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11, Ben Duoc Memorial Temple in Cu Chi District, the Can Gio District Football Ground and the National Culture and History Park in District 9.
The firework displays will last for 15 minutes starting promptly on the dot of midnight, January 22.
