This year’s event themed ‘“Vietnam’s Cinema –Ethnicity, Humanity, Innovation and Integration” welcomed about 103 cinematographic submissions, including 20 featured films and others in categories of documentary, cartoon, and science.

They will be screened at cinemas, CGV, BHD, Galaxy and Mega GS, she added. The event is expected to receive foreign experts from the U.S, thu UK, Denmark, Canada, South Korea, and the Philippines.

The 19th Vietnam Film Festival will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from November 30- December 5, by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.

A series of activities such as a seminar on movies, film market, a gala evening and exchanges between filmmakers and audiences will take place during the festival.

The organization board will offer the titles, including “Golden Lotus Award”, “Silver Lotus Award”, “The jury award”, “Best director”, “Best cameraman”, “Best actor”, “Best actress”, “Best designer” to winners in every category.

In addition, a film week marking the 19th Vietnam Film Festival is taking place in Hanoi and Da Nang starting from November 18 to 24. During five day event, 20 best Vietnamese movies have been screened free of charge.
