Over 108,925 cases of dengue infections have been recorded across the country with 26 deaths. The inpatients have increased by 43.5 percent and the number of dead patients have been nine cases higher than same period last year.
Noticeably, last week, there was a drop of 11.4 percent of patients compared to previous week. Meantime, Hanoi reported a slight fall with 612 cases. From the beginning of the year, Hanoi has had over 22,290 dengue patients and seven deaths.
Moreover, the infection cases of dengue are on downtrend in major districts such as Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem, Ba Dình, Cau Giay, Dong Da.
The National Tropical Disease Hospital in Hanoi admits around 800 patients a day averagely and 50 of them are hospitalized.
The Department of Health in Hanoi said that it has controlled the disease. The outbreaks of dengue in Hanoi has dipped from 2,112 to 1,468 since the city authorities have carried out synchronous measures to battle the disease by spraying chemical to kill mosquito.
